Part-Time Company Accountant

Overview Technology Partners is a growing provider of Sage business solutions, specialising in S age Intacct, Sage X3 and Sage 200implementations, support, and consultancy. We are looking for a hands-on and experienced Company Accountant to take ownership of the finance function. This is a key role within the business, supporting the directors with accurate reporting, strong financial control, and insight to support growth. Given the nature of our business, experience with Sage 200 and Sicon modules will be an advantage. This role would suit someone who enjoys working in an SME environment and is comfortable managing a wide-ranging, end-to-end finance function. Key Responsibilities Full ownership of the finance function, including: Sales ledger, purchase ledger, nominal ledger and cash management Contract billing Production of monthly management accounts and board-level reporting Budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management Responsibility for VAT returns and HMRC compliance Overseeing payroll (liaising with outsourced providers) Managing year-end process and working with external accountants Maintaining and improving financial processes and controls Systems & Reporting: Managing and optimising Sage 200 Using and supporting Sicon Contracts for accurate project/service revenue tracking Supporting integration between finance and operational systems Producing insightful reports on project profitability and recurring revenue Business partnering: Supporting directors with financial insights and decision-making Working closely with delivery and consulting teams to track project performance Ensuring financial controls support operational efficiency Key Requirements Proven experience in a Company Accountant or similar finance role Strong hands-on experience with Sage Solid understanding of UK accounting standards, VAT, and compliance Experience working in an SME or fast-paced business Ability to work independently and take full ownership of the finance function Strong attention to detail and organisational skills Confident communicator who can work with both finance and non-finance teams Desirable Experience using Sicon Contracts (or similar contract/project accounting tools) Experience within a software, services, or SaaS environment Understanding of project-based accounting or recurring revenue models Part-qualified or fully qualified (ACCA / ACA) TPBN1_UKTJ
