Scottish Rugby is seeking a Pathway Performance Analyst to deliver world-class performance analysis support across its Women's Performance and Pathway System.

Working across the National Academy Programme, Glasgow Rugby Women, the U21 National Age Grade Programme and the Celtic Challenge pathway, you'll play a central role in supporting player development, coaching decisions and performance enhancement through innovative analysis and technology.

The Role

This role will lead the delivery of performance analysis for Scotland's emerging female talent pathway, supporting athletes from U18 to U23 while working closely with coaches and multidisciplinary staff across the performance system.

Using modern analysis methods, video, statistics and emerging technologies, you'll help develop high-potential players while driving innovation in performance analysis delivery across Scottish Rugby.

Performance Analysis

  • Lead the delivery of performance analysis support for the National Academy and Scotland U21 Women's Programme.
  • Deliver comprehensive analysis support for Glasgow Rugby Women.
  • Film, code and analyse training sessions and matches.
  • Produce opposition analysis, referee analysis and performance reviews.
  • Develop specialist expertise in an area of the game (e.g. attack, defence or set piece).
  • Work collaboratively with coaches to provide objective feedback and actionable performance insights.
  • Create engaging video presentations, statistical reports and visual learning resources.
  • Support player development through Individual Development Plans (IDPs).
  • Build and maintain an extensive library of analysis clips and educational resources.
  • Develop relationships with clubs, schools and key stakeholders across the women's pathway.
  • Integrate emerging technologies and explore innovative reporting methods, including Artificial Intelligence.
  • Manage performance analysis hardware, software and digital workflows.
  • Promote aligned analysis practices across the wider Scottish Rugby performance system.

Applicants should demonstrate:

  • Minimum three years' experience as a Performance Analyst within high-performance sport.
  • Strong knowledge of rugby union.
  • Experience using:
    • Hudl
    • Hudl Sportscode
    • Hudl Studio
    • Tableau / Power BI / Microsoft Excel
    • Limit8 or equivalent capture hardware
    • IP camera systems
  • Excellent IT skills, particularly Apple software such as Keynote.
  • Strong communication, planning and organisational skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking ability.
  • Curiosity for digital innovation and emerging technologies.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends and international travel.
  • Full UK driving licence.

  • Scotland Women's coaching staff.
  • Glasgow Rugby Women.
  • Celtic Challenge coaching teams.
  • Scottish Rugby High Performance department.
  • Premiership clubs and universities.
  • National Academy colleagues.

You'll contribute directly to the development of the country's next generation of elite players while working alongside experienced coaches, analysts and performance practitioners in one of the UK's leading rugby programmes.

  • Full-time position with flexibility to work evenings, weekends and competition travel.
  • Fixed-term contract (2–3 years).
