Are you a skilled driver looking for a role that combines your expertise with a meaningful purpose?
The BTR Hub is a recruitment and training company working with NHS suppliers. Our Client OnCue Transport are recruiting trained and certified NEPTS contractor drivers to fulfil the high demand for NHS patient transport in the Norfolk area.
Full training will be provided at no cost to yourself, preparing you for a role that goes beyond driving and makes a real difference in people’s lives.
You’ll be trained to provide compassionate support, ensuring that each patient feels cared for and safe during their transport.
About the role:
* Driving with Purpose: You’ll be responsible for safely transporting patients to and from their medical appointments, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the journey.
* Care at the Core: While driving is an essential part of the job, this role is deeply rooted in patient care. You’ll be trained to provide compassionate support, ensuring that each patient feels cared for and safe during their transport.
* Comprehensive Training Provided: We offer full training that covers First Aid, Health & Safety, Safeguarding, and more, resulting in nationally recognised qualifications. This training equips you with the skills needed to succeed in both the driving and care aspects of the role.
* High Earning Potential: As a self-employed Patient Transport Driver, you’ll enjoy increased flexibility while benefiting from high earning potential. Patient transport is in high demand, ensuring a steady flow of work.
* Work with a Leading Provider: Join OnCue Transport, a rapidly growing provider of non-emergency patient transport services for NHS Trusts and Ambulance providers, and be part of a team dedicated to delivering care through transportation.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
* Experienced Drivers: If you’ve worked as a professional driver (e.g. taxi, delivery, or bus driving), your skills are highly transferable to this role. However, it’s crucial to understand that this is not just a driving job - it’s a care position with a strong focus on safeguarding and supporting patients.
* Full UK Manual Driving Licence: Must have held your license for at least 3 years, with no more than 3 DVLA points.
* Caring Attitude: A genuine desire to care for others is essential. This role involves supporting patients who may be vulnerable, so empathy and patience are key.
* Communication Skills: Strong communication skills are necessary to interact effectively with patients, ensuring they feel supported and comfortable during their journey.
* Physical Fitness: Assisting patients requires reasonable physical well-being.
* Flexibility and Initiative: The ability to work independently, manage your own schedule, and adapt to different patient needs is important for success in this role.
This is a great opportunity to make a difference and learn new skills.
