Fresh People are recruiting for a Payroll Executive to join the growing Payroll Bureau team of a highly respected and progressive Chartered Accountancy and Advisory firm based in Canterbury. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with payroll experience who is looking to develop their career within a professional services environment. You will work with a varied portfolio of clients, taking responsibility for delivering accurate and timely payroll services while building strong relationships with clients. The business offers a supportive and collaborative working environment, excellent career development and the opportunity to undertake a fully funded CIPP qualification with dedicated study support. The Role
Working as part of the Payroll Bureau team, your responsibilities will include: Preparing and processing payrolls for multiple clients.
Ensuring payrolls are completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.
Liaising with HMRC and ensuring compliance with current payroll regulations.
Handling payroll queries and providing a professional service to clients.
Supporting payroll year-end processes and statutory reporting.
Maintaining accurate payroll records and documentation.
Building strong working relationships with clients.
Working collaboratively with colleagues across Payroll, Accounts and the wider business.
About You
We are looking for someone who is organised, accurate and enjoys working in a client-focused environment. You will ideally have: Previous payroll experience would be ideal within a payroll bureau or outsourced payroll environment.
Experience processing payrolls and working to regular deadlines.
Good understanding of payroll processes and statutory requirements.
Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
Confident communication skills and the ability to deal professionally with clients.
A proactive and positive approach.
Good IT skills and the ability to learn payroll systems.
An interest in developing your payroll career within professional services.
Candidates at an earlier stage of their payroll career will also be considered where they can demonstrate strong numerical ability, attention to detail and a genuine desire to develop within payroll. Excellent long-term career progression within a growing professional services firm.
