Our client is an independent financial planning business committed to providing bespoke financial advice with clients at the heart of its approach. With experienced financial advisers leading the business, our client combines financial planning expertise with streamlined, digital processes to provide a straightforward and professional service.
As a Pensions Administrator, you will provide essential administrative support across pension and financial planning cases, working closely with advisers and other members of the team. You will help ensure client records, documentation and pension-related processes are handled accurately and efficiently while maintaining high standards of client service.
Key responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive administrative support for pension and financial planning cases
Process new business applications, pension transfers and other client instructions
Liaise with pension providers, investment companies and other third parties to obtain information and progress cases
Request and collate pension valuations, policy information and supporting documentation
Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation
Prepare client files and supporting information for advisers
Monitor applications and outstanding cases, following up with providers where required
Handle client and provider correspondence professionally and efficiently
Assist with the preparation and processing of pension contributions, withdrawals and transfers
Ensure administration is completed accurately and in accordance with internal procedures and relevant regulatory requirements
Support the wider team with general financial services administration as required
Key skills and qualifications:
Previous experience in pensions administration, financial services administration or a similar role
Good knowledge of pensions and an understanding of the financial planning process
Experience dealing with pension providers and financial services organisations
Excellent attention to detail and a highly organised approach to work
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Confident using IT systems, databases and Microsoft Office applications
Ability to manage multiple cases and priorities effectively
A professional and client-focused approach
Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
Relevant financial services or pensions qualifications would be advantageous but are not essential
