Personal Advisor About the Role As a Personal Advisor, you will play a key role in supporting care experienced young people to develop independence, achieve their goals, and access the services they need to thrive. Your Main Priorities Carrying out the duties of a Personal Advisor in line with the Children (Leaving Care) Act 2000 Supporting care leavers living independently within the community Building positive and trusting relationships with young people Working in partnership with housing, education, health, and other agencies to secure the best outcomes possible Supporting pathway planning and helping young people access opportunities in education, employment, and training Advocating for young people and promoting their wellbeing, independence, and resilience About You We are looking for individuals who: Have experience working with children, young people, or care experienced young adults Are passionate about improving outcomes for care leavers Can build effective relationships and communicate confidently with young people and professionals Have strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities Understand the challenges faced by care experienced young people and can provide practical and emotional support This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of young people as they move towards independence and adulthood
