We're Hiring Band 5 Locum Pharmacy Technician
We are recruiting for a Band 5 Locum Pharmacy Technician to join our NHS client, providing ward-based pharmacy services across multiple hospital sites.
Start Date: Ideally the first week of August 2026
Contract: Until the end of October 2026 (currently funded)
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Working Hours: 7.5-hour days with flexibility between 8:00am and 6:00pm
Locations: Brecon, Ystradgynlais, Bronllys and Llandrindod Hospitals
This is a ward-based role supporting medical, care of the elderly and older adult mental health wards. There is no on-call or weekend commitment.
Essential requirements:
Current General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) registration
Enhanced DBS (Adults)
Medicines Management Accreditation
Ability to independently undertake medicines reconciliation and patient's own drugs assessments
Experience managing discharge medicines and supervising pharmacy assistant staff
Desirable:
Accredited Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT)
Experience using the BetterMeds electronic prescribing and medicines administration (ePMA) system (training can be provided)
