Physics Teacher – Rotherham Location: Rotherham Contract: Permanent Start Date: September 2026 Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience) PK Education are working with a secondary school in Rotherham who are looking to appoint a Physics Teacher on a permanent basis from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful Science department that is well-resourced, supportive, and committed to achieving strong outcomes across all key stages. The school are particularly keen to hear from Physics specialists who can inspire curiosity, challenge students academically, and help develop a passion for science beyond the classroom. Physics is well established within the curriculum, with strong uptake at GCSE and opportunities to teach A-Level Physics for suitably experienced candidates. You will be joining a department that benefits from experienced leadership, dedicated laboratory facilities, and a collaborative approach to planning and resource sharing. The Role Teaching Physics across KS3 and KS4 Potential KS5 teaching for candidates with relevant experience Planning and delivering engaging practical and theory-based lessons Monitoring and assessing student progress Contributing to the wider Science department What We're Looking For Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Specialism in Physics or a related scientific discipline Experience teaching Science within a secondary school setting Strong classroom management and subject knowledge Ability to motivate and inspire learners of all abilities The school has a positive reputation within the local community, clear behaviour systems, and a strong focus on staff development and wellbeing.
