Planning Enforcement Officer

Senior Planning Enforcement Officer Location: North West England Contract: 6 Months Rate: £40-£50 per hour, depending on experience Job Ref: 63969 Carrington West are working with a local authority in the North West, who are seeking an experienced Planning Enforcement Officer to join its Development Management team on a contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for investigating breaches of planning control, managing enforcement cases, and ensuring compliance with planning legislation. This is a key role in maintaining the integrity of the planning system and supporting sustainable development across the area. Key Responsibilities: ·Investigate alleged breaches of planning control and manage enforcement cases from initial complaint through to resolution. ·Conduct site visits, gather evidence, and prepare reports and formal notices. ·Liaise with developers, residents, and internal departments to resolve planning issues. ·Monitor development sites to ensure compliance with approved plans and conditions. ·Support legal action where necessary, including preparing documentation and attending hearings.   Along with the above, the ideal candidate will have the ability to be in the Cumbria region on a weekly basis (1 or 2 times) to conduct office and site visits.   If you are interested, please contact Ryan at Carrington West on (phone number removed) for more information
