Plant Operator (Anaerobic Digestion) Malmesbury, Wiltshire £20.00 per hour Temporary Rolling Contract for minimum 6 4 on 4 off Shift Pattern SCINERGY Recruitment are currently supporting a well-established anaerobic digestion operator in the search for a Plant Operator to join their site near Malmesbury on an initial 6 weeks contract, with the potential for extension.

This is a hands-on operational role, ideally suited to someone with previous anaerobic digestion, biomass, waste processing or heavy industrial process experience who is confident operating loading shovels and working within a continuous process environment.
The Role Reporting to the Plant Manager, you'll support the safe and efficient day-to-day operation of the anaerobic digestion facility, helping maintain plant performance while ensuring feedstock is processed safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities Operating loading shovel equipment to safely load feedstock into plant hoppers.
Carrying out routine plant inspections and operational checks.
Monitoring plant performance using the site's SCADA control system.
Responding to plant alarms and reporting operational issues.
Assisting with basic fault finding and first-line operational support.
Maintaining good housekeeping standards across the site.
Completing operational records and shift documentation.
Supporting planned maintenance activities where required.
Working safely in line with company Health, Safety and Environmental procedures.
About You We're looking for someone who enjoys working in a practical, process-driven environment and can hit the ground running.
Ideally you'll have: Previous experience within Anaerobic Digestion, Biomass, Energy from Waste, Waste Management or another continuous process industry.
Loading Shovel competency certificate (essential).
Experience operating loading shovels safely in confined industrial environments.
Basic understanding of SCADA or automated process control systems.
Good awareness of Health & Safety procedures.
Ability to work independently and as part of a small operational team.

Working Pattern 4 on 4 off shift pattern Monday-Friday: 8:00am – 6:00pm Weekend shifts: 8:00am – 12:30pm This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced operator to join a busy anaerobic digestion facility and make an immediate impact during a key period for the site.
