Salary: £35,000-£50,000 (DOE)

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Practice Nurse to join a busy and supportive GP Practice in Northampton.

Whether you are an experienced Practice Nurse or a Registered Nurse looking to develop your career within Primary Care, this is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking practice committed to delivering outstanding patient care. Full training and ongoing support will be provided for candidates looking to expand their clinical skills.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  Deliver high-quality nursing care within a GP Practice setting

Undertake chronic disease management clinics, including Diabetes, Asthma, COPD, and Hypertension

Administer vaccinations, immunisations, and injectable medications

Perform cervical cytology and support family planning and contraception services

Provide wound care, dressings, and post-operative care

Support minor surgery clinics alongside GPs

Undertake patient assessments, triage, and follow-up care

Promote health education, lifestyle advice, and disease prevention

Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation

Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary primary care team

Contribute to quality improvement and service development initiatives

What We're Looking ForEssential

• 
  Registered Nurse with current NMC registration

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Strong clinical assessment skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care

Willingness to undertake further training and professional development

Desirable

• 
  Previous experience working within General Practice or Primary Care

Experience managing long-term conditions

Cervical Cytology qualification

Immunisation and vaccination experience

Family planning and contraception experience

Experience using SystmOne
