Job Details:
Pay: Up to £18.29 per hour
Hours of Work: 7:45am to 4:45pm Monday to Thursday, 7:45am to 12:45pm Friday (39 hours per week)
Duration: Permanent
Benefits: Early Finish Fridays, Pension, Free Parking, Flexible holiday bookings (Based on hours not days)
Job Role: As a Press Brake Setter you will be responsible for manufacturing fabricated metal parts and assemblies using a variety of materials including mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium. The Press Brake Setter will set and operate workshop machinery such as a press brakes to bend and form metal in line with engineering drawings, while also carrying out finishing processes including linishing, deburring, grinding, and polishing to a high standard.
Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:
Proven experience working as a Press Brake Setter with sheet metal/thin gauge steel
Strong background in metal bending and forming
Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings
Experience setting & operating a Press Brake machine
Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications
City & Guilds or NVQ in Sheet Metal work, Fabrication, or similar
Welding experience (MIG or TIG)
Experience fabricating steel components
Previous experience in a similar Sheet Metal Worker environment
