Primary Tutor ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY Prospero Teaching is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Tutor to provide tailored 1:1 tuition to primary-aged pupils across London. As a Primary Tutor, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons that are designed to meet the individual learning needs of each pupil. You will support children in developing confidence, improving attainment, and closing gaps in learning across core subjects including English and Maths. This role is ideal for qualified teachers, experienced tutors, or education professionals seeking a more flexible and personalised teaching environment away from the traditional classroom setting. CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS Location - Various locations across London Position - Primary Tutor Type of work - 1:1 Tuition Start date - ASAP - ongoing Full time/part time - Part time and full time available depending on availability Minimum rate of pay - Minimum £25 per hour Hours - Flexible working hours; sessions typically range from 1 to 3 hours EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS QTS, PGCE, EYFS qualification, Education Degree, or equivalent teaching qualification Experience teaching or tutoring primary-aged pupils within the UK Strong knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum Experience supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups is desirable Up-to-date Safeguarding training issued within the last year (desirable, not essential) TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST: Hold Right to Work in the UK Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application Provide two professional child-related references covering the last two years OTHER If you would like to be considered for this role, please apply with a copy of your up-to-date CV.
