Role Overview
A progressive, award‑winning consultancy based in Cardiff is looking to add a Principal Civil Engineer to join their Civils/Drainage team. Their well‑respected practice is growing steadily and is seeking an experienced engineer to become part of a busy design team, delivering a diverse range of commercial and industrial projects across South Wales and beyond.
Responsibilities
- Infrastructure and drainage designs using AutoCAD, Civil3D and MicroDrainage/Flow
- Design and delivery of commercial, battery energy storage, water and renewable energy projects
- Preparation of Section Agreements (278/38/104) and technical drawings
- Collaborating with engineers and stakeholders to deliver high‑quality solutions
- Line management within the wider team
Skills Required
- Solid experience with potable, surface and foul water design and/or construction
- Adept at 3D design and modelling using software such as MicroDrainage and/or InfoDrainage
- Knowledge of Water Authority statutory approval processes such as S104, S106 and others
- Experience with SuDS Approval Body involvement
