We are seeking an authoritative and commercially astute Principal Mechanical Design Engineer to spearhead a dedicated MEP team. This is a strategic hire, focused on delivering large-scale, sustainable commercial builds and premium mixed-use urban regeneration projects. What You Will Be Doing: Act as the technical lead and primary point of contact for major commercial and mixed-use portfolios. Drive the delivery of innovative, low-carbon mechanical engineering solutions, championing net-zero design principles. Manage project financials, resource allocation, and fee proposals to ensure commercial viability and profitability. Build and maintain robust relationships with key clients, architects, and developers to secure repeat business. Provide high-level technical leadership, QA/QC, and strategic mentorship to a team of senior and intermediate engineers. About You: BEng or MEng in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering. Chartered Engineer (CEng) with CIBSE or IMechE. Extensive experience within the UK building services sector, with a proven track record of leading multi-million-pound commercial/mixed-use projects. Strong commercial acumen and experience in client-facing, business development roles. Deep knowledge of the London Plan, BREEAM, WELL standards, and modern sustainable design techniques.
