Principal Environmental Consultant

Principal Environmental Consultant Our client is seeking a Principal Environmental Consultant to lead Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) activities across infrastructure projects. Working with engineers, project managers, regulators and clients, you will manage environmental risks, provide technical leadership and support the delivery of sustainable project outcomes. Key responsibilities include leading environmental assessments, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, ensuring compliance with environmental legislation, implementing carbon reduction and climate resilience initiatives, engaging stakeholders, and managing project budgets, programmes and resources. What You'll Bring Degree qualified in an environmental or related discipline. Chartered Environmentalist (or equivalent). Strong consultancy experience within highways, construction or infrastructure. Excellent knowledge of EIA processes, assessment methodologies and planning legislation. Proven experience delivering environmental assessments, consents and sustainability initiatives. Strong report writing, project management and stakeholder engagement skills. Experience leading teams and managing multiple priorities. Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
