Procurement Administrator (Work from home)

As a Buyer, you will manage a mix of stock and project procurement, working closely with engineering, stores, and finance departments. Order Processing: Processing stock and project orders utilizing electronic requisition software and Bills of Materials (BOM) provided by the engineering team. Inventory Control: Relationship Building: Maintaining strong relationships with the existing supplier network while actively identifying new supplier opportunities. Attending weekly and monthly meetings to provide accurate procurement updates on project lead times; working closely with the accounts team to swiftly resolve supplier queries. Ad-hoc Administration: Assisting with daily admin tasks such as filing, scanning, and archiving. Technical Procurement: Proven experience working in a technical buying role within the engineering or manufacturing sector is essential . A strong working knowledge of Sage 200 Accounts (or a similar ERP system) is essential . IT Literacy: High competency in the Microsoft Office package, particularly Excel. Attributes: High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight project deadlines. Industry Knowledge (Desirable): Previous experience or knowledge of Electrical Switchgear or Electrical Manufacturing is highly advantageous.
