As Procurement Delivery Manager, you will be accountable for overseeing and managing delivery risk for all suppliers and commodities, to enable and unlock both on time delivery to customer (programme) milestones and operational flow. This is achieved by administering processes through management of Procurement Project Specialists, aligned by cell and programme, to manage supplier delivery of materials and services to support ACS UK requirements, for both a thriving OEM NPI environment and Aftermarket Spares.
Within OEM (NPI) and Aftermarket (Spares) there are varied operating environments within cells and value-streams, as well as differing customer agreements and supply-chain designs (eg. Free-issue), therefore creating diverse challenges and complexities for coordinating and managing credible supplier delivery plans. As a result, leading the Procurement Project Specialists in cross-functional collaboration will be crucial to fully enable effective Procurement processes, underpinned through a robust support and governance structure, including attendance at production cell daily stand-ups and regular customer (programme) reviews.
Managing suppliers on their delivery and quality performance will be key, and will also be a critical input for supporting commodity strategic plans. In addition, building strong relationships with commodity buying is essential, to ensure any risk is managed in upstream Procurement processes, ie. Sourcing. The role will also support and input into various continuous improvement initiatives, aimed at enhancing cross-functional collaboration and / or functional capacity, through removing waste and increasing efficiency in key functional processes.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership
Lead Procurement Project Specialists responsible for coordinating and managing credible supplier delivery plans, in line with ACS UK requirements for both OEM and Aftermarket
Manage team resource appropriately, ensuring organizational efficiency, balanced load and capacity of professionals and appropriate alignment of operational cells and programmes
Ensure continuous development of Procurement Project Specialists through coaching, mentoring, training and performance management activities
Procurement
Deploy and implement effective methods, processes and governance for coordinating credible supplier delivery plans and managing delivery and quality risk, which otherwise might impact operational flow and / or attainment of customer (programme) delivery milestones
Support and input into production cell stand-ups (operational flow) and programme reviews (programme milestones attainment)
Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to mitigate delivery risks and resolve wide-ranging and varied delivery issues / process blockers ( technical, design, quality, engineering and customer free-issue)
Act as a key point of contact for delivery related queries, and escalate delivery and quality performance risks and / or issues at daily functional meetings
Own and balance supplier performance for delivery and quality
Integrate and lead material free-issue, managing and escalating risk as necessary, collaborating between Programmes, Goods-Receipt and Procurement
Support and contribute to supplier audits, in collaboration with the Procurement Manager
Build and maintain effective supplier relationships, fostering collaboration and trust
Collaborate with Finance where necessary to resolve supplier invoicing queries
Manage materials replenishment as required, after initiation of SNCR (Supplier Non-Conformance) tasks with suppliers (via Commodity Buyers)
Support change requests (once raised by Commodity Buyers), through collaboration with Planning, Design and other key internal stakeholders
Liaise and oversee as necessary any Logistics activity to support standard, special and / or expedited transport requirements
Drive team compliance to key transactional activities for suppliers, such as order book management, to confirm supplier delivery due dates are represented in the MRP system
Other
Input delivery and quality performance, and supplier insights, into creation of commodity strategic plans as necessary
Contribute and input into functional continuous improvement initiatives and projects, to enhance efficiency and / or functional capacity
Support and input (as necessary) supplier delivery and quality performance for commercial bids for both OEM and AFM (Spares)
Support input into (and participate as necessary) in budgeting, business planning and monthly business reviews
Comply with policies, processes and trade compliance requirements

Knowledge, Education, Skills and Experience
Knowledge:
Resource management and Procurement organisational design
Commodity procurement, ideally aligned to similar ACS UK specifications / commodities
Operating within the Engineering / Manufacturing sector, particularly in OEM, Aftermarket and NPI environments
Knowledge of Supplier Relationship Management (SRM)
Strong working knowledge of Procurement principles
Knowledge of end-to-end Supply Chain concepts (demand and supply planning)
Understanding of operating within MRP / ERP systems
Sound knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Power BI and Microsoft Project
Education
Educated to degree level although experience and / or vocational qualifications are also valued
CIPS qualification / Advanced Practitioner or equivalent is encouraged

Demonstrated experience in managing multiple supplier accounts (>5 years)
Experience of managing and leading >5 direct reports, preferably in Procurement
Experience in Global Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) and risk management
