Procurement Manager – Directs & Manufacturing

Hertfordshire | £55,000 - £60,000 + Competitive Package

If you would like to know a bit more about this opportunity, or are considering applying, then please read the following job information.

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Direct Procurement professional to join a rapidly growing, highly successful manufacturer with a strong international presence and an established position as a leader within its specialist market.

Following significant growth through Covid, the business is building momentum again and delivering close to double-digit organic growth within a highly stable sector. Just as importantly, this is a company where people genuinely seem to enjoy building their careers, recently being recognised in The Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2026.

What you'll be doing

  • Managing strategic Direct Procurement across materials, components and manufactured products
  • Leading sourcing projects, supplier negotiations and commercial activity across an international supply base
  • Developing supplier relationships and driving improvements across cost, quality, resilience and performance
  • Partnering closely with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality and wider business stakeholders
  • Taking increasing ownership as the procurement function and wider organisation continue to grow

What they're looking for

  • Strong procurement experience at Senior Buyer / Procurement Manager level
  • Ideally experience within a manufacturing environment, with medical, healthcare or cosmetic product manufacturing exposure beneficial but not essential
  • Strong strategic sourcing, negotiation and supplier management capability
  • Commercially minded and comfortable taking ownership
  • Personality is important: driven, friendly, passionate and collaborative, with the ambition to develop and take on more

The culture is a major part of the opportunity. The business offers a flexible and supportive environment, low employee attrition and genuine examples of people developing significantly during their time with the company. As a smaller, agile organisation, there are fewer barriers to taking on additional responsibility and no shortage of opportunities for ambitious people to progress. xwzovoh

For someone looking for greater ownership, strong development opportunities and the chance to join a growing business officially recognised as one of The Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2026, this is an opportunity well worth exploring.
