Production Engineer Location: Staverton, Gloucestershire Salary: Competitive Hours: 38 hours per week – Day Shift Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 5:00pm Friday: 8:00am – 12:00pm 30-minute unpaid break each day The Role We are recruiting for a Production Engineer to join a busy aerospace manufacturing environment in Staverton. This is a hands-on role providing first-line engineering and programming support to manufacturing operations, with occasional support required at a second Gloucestershire site. The position combines CNC programming, production engineering, new product introduction support and continuous improvement activities. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting manufacturing performance, problem solving and ensuring efficient production processes across the business. Key Responsibilities * Provide first-line engineering support to manufacturing operations. * Write, modify and maintain offline CNC programs. * Support new product introduction activities and assist with engineering and commercial feasibility studies. * Manage internal and external engineering resources as required. * Support continuous improvement initiatives across the business. * Promote and maintain a safety-first culture. * Liaise with internal departments including quality, technical and production teams, as well as external suppliers and customers where necessary. About You Essential: * Minimum 3 years’ experience in a technical engineering or CNC programming role. * Strong problem-solving skills and a practical engineering approach. * Ability to prioritise workloads and meet conflicting deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. * Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and computer-based manufacturing systems. * Experience with Fanuc controls. * Competent CAD/CAM programming skills, ideally using Autodesk FeatureCAM and/or Fusion 360. * Full UK driving licence. Desirable: * Previous experience in a dedicated CNC programming role. * Experience creating models, jigs and fixtures and proving out programs on the machine. * CNC milling and CNC turning experience. * Experience programming mill/turn applications.
