Machine Operative Location: Middleton, Manchester Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour, rising to £13.12 per hour upon successful completion of the qualifying period Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Join a Leading Foam Manufacturing Company We are a leading manufacturer of high-quality foam products and are looking for a reliable and motivated Machine Operative to join our growing production team in Middleton. Working Hours Monday to Thursday: 08:00 - 16:30 Friday: 08:00 - 15:30 Key Responsibilities Machine Operation Operate large-scale manufacturing machinery safely and efficiently. Monitor machine performance and report any issues promptly. Ensure products meet quality and production standards. Manual Handling Lift, move and handle paper rolls and foam blocks weighing up to 25kg. Support production processes through safe and effective material handling. Housekeeping Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment. Follow all company health and safety procedures. Computer Use Use basic computer systems to manage workflows and production information. Accurately record production data and complete required documentation. What We're Looking For Previous experience within a manufacturing or production environment is advantageous. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Physically fit and comfortable undertaking manual handling duties. Confident using computers in a workplace setting. Positive attitude and willingness to learn. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Reliable, punctual and safety conscious. Desirable Skills FLT Counterbalance Licence preferred but not essential.
