Production Maintenance Technician – Night Shift Location: Plymouth, Devon Sector: Medical Devices / Advanced Manufacturing Employment Type: Permanent Kinetic Business Solutions are supporting a leading medical devices manufacturer based in Plymouth with the appointment of a skilled Production Technician to join their night shift team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a high-volume, highly automated manufacturing environment where your technical skills will directly support the production of healthcare products used worldwide. The role works 11pm–11am and includes a 37% shift premium on top of basic salary, making this a strong package for candidates with proven maintenance, fault-finding and production support experience. The Role * Operate and support production machinery within a fast-paced medical devices manufacturing environment. * Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and refurbish offline machinery to maintain operational efficiency. * Diagnose and repair electro-mechanical faults, reducing downtime and supporting continuous production. * Ensure manufacturing equipment is correctly set up and producing product to required quality and process standards. * Monitor in-process quality and take action to prevent product holds or production delays. * Support line activities including machine operation, product assembly, pallet release and cover for production breaks. About You * Qualified in electrical or mechanical engineering, such as C&G, HND, or a time-served apprenticeship. * Experienced within high-volume, automated manufacturing, ideally within medical devices, pharmaceutical, food, FMCG or another regulated environment. * Confident carrying out maintenance, fault finding and hands-on technical support on production equipment. * A strong communicator who can work effectively with production, engineering and quality teams. * A proactive team player with a genuine interest in healthcare manufacturing and continuous improvement.
