Production Manager

Production Manager Location: Hertfordshire Monday to Friday + Benefits Are you a hands-on Production Manager who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where structure is still developing and improvement opportunities are clear? A growing manufacturer is looking for a strong operational leader to take ownership of their production function and help shape how it runs going forward. What You'll Be Doing as a Production Manager * Owning end-to-end production flow including SMT, AOI, assembly, test, and packing * Managing production schedules and ensuring clear workflow across all manufacturing areas * Driving on-time delivery, throughput, and efficiency across the shopfloor * Leading production teams through team leaders to ensure consistent execution and communication * Monitoring WIP levels and ensuring visibility across all stages of production * Identifying risks early and putting recovery plans in place where required * Working closely with Planning and CI teams to manage and adjust production schedules * Collaborating with Quality and Engineering to resolve production and process issues * Driving continuous improvement activities to improve flow, output, and efficiency * Using production data and KPIs to drive decision-making and performance improvements What We're Looking For as a Production Manager * Experience in a Production Manager or Supervisor/Senior Manufacturing leadership role * Background in electronics, electro-mechanical, or high-mix manufacturing environments * Strong operational mindset with the ability to improve structure and performance in developing environments * Proven ability to lead teams through supervisors or team leaders * Comfortable balancing people leadership with production delivery requirements * Strong understanding of production flow, scheduling, and capacity management * Data-driven approach using KPIs to improve performance and decision-making * Confident communicator with the ability to drive accountability across teams * Hands-on, practical leadership style.
