Production Manager - Poole
TeamJobs are recruiting for a Production Manager to join a fast-paced, high-volume operation in Poole.
This is a hands-on leadership role for an experienced manager who enjoys being at the heart of an operation - leading people, improving performance, solving problems and making things happen.
You'll take ownership of a busy operational area, leading large teams across production, yard, parts and warehouse functions. It's an environment where pace, people and performance matter, and where you'll have the opportunity to genuinely influence how the operation runs.
We're particularly interested in speaking with managers from automotive, vehicle processing, recycling, waste, FMCG, manufacturing or other high-volume operational environments.
Salary:
£45,000 - £55,000 DOE + performance-related bonus
Working hours:
Monday to Friday
Rotating shifts: 6:00am - 3:00pm / 3:00pm - 12:00am
42.5 hours per week
No weekend shifts
The role:
Lead and develop large operational teams across multiple departments
Take ownership of daily output, productivity and shift performance
Drive improvements across people, processes and operational flow
Identify bottlenecks, reduce downtime and improve efficiency
Use KPIs and operational data to make decisions and drive performance
Work closely with maintenance and operational teams to keep the site moving
Drive continuous improvement and introduce better ways of working
Maintain high standards across health & safety, quality and compliance
Create an accountable, positive and high-performing team culture
What we're looking for:
Proven management experience within a fast-paced production, manufacturing or operational environment
Experience leading and developing sizeable teams
A hands-on management style - someone comfortable being visible on the shop floor
Strong understanding of KPIs, productivity, labour efficiency and operational performance
Experience improving processes, reducing waste or increasing output
Commercially aware with the confidence to make operational decisions
Strong people management skills with the ability to get the best from different personalities
Experience within automotive, vehicle processing, recycling/waste, FMCG, heavy industry or high-volume manufacturing would be particularly advantageous.
What's in it for you?
£45,000 - £55,000 salary DOE
Performance-related bonus
Monday to Friday working - no weekends
25 days holiday + bank holidays
Staff discounts, including discounted fuel
Enhanced pension contributions
Health & wellbeing benefits after probation
This is a great opportunity for an experienced operational leader who wants more than simply maintaining the status quo. You'll be joining a growing business where you can influence performance, develop people and make a visible impact on the operation.
If you're a hands-on Production, Manufacturing, Operations or Site Manager looking for your next challenge, apply today and we'll be in touch.
