Production Operative

OA Recruitment are currently recruiting for Production Operatives on behalf of our client, a well-established manufacturing business based on the outskirts of Hitchin This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing company with the potential for a temporary-to-permanent position for the right candidates. Hours of Work - 8am till 4pm Pay Rate Starting rate: £13.50ph Duties of a Production Operative As a Production Operative, you will play a key role in the manufacturing process. Your responsibilities will include: Operating production machinery safely and efficiently. Weighing and preparing raw materials in line with production specifications. Monitoring production processes to ensure products meet quality standards. Loading and unloading materials and finished products. Packing, labelling, and preparing products for dispatch. Carrying out basic quality checks and reporting any faults or defects. Maintaining a clean and organised working environment. Following all health and safety procedures, company policies, and hygiene standards at all times. Working as part of a team to meet daily production targets and deadlines. Person Specification The ideal candidate will have: Previous experience working within a manufacturing or production environment. The ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet production deadlines. A strong work ethic with excellent attention to detail. Good communication and teamwork skills. A flexible approach to work and willingness to learn. The ability to undertake a physically demanding role, including lifting items weighing up to 25kg.
