The Role We're looking for a Production Operator to join the team at Porex on a Monday to Friday dayshift basis - no nights, no weekends, offering a good work-life-balance. Shift pattern: Monday-Thursday: 8:15am-5:00pm Friday: 8:15am–2:00pm What's on offer: Good hourly rate Annual Bonus scheme Permanent opportunity 32 days holiday Holiday Buyback Scheme Christmas shutdown Private Healthcare & Death in Service insurance, many other employee benefits Porex Fun Day - a paid day off for a company get-together The chance to build a genuine, long-term career with a growing international manufacturer What You'll Be Doing As a Production Operator, you'll be working hands-on within a precision manufacturing environment - operating and monitoring production machinery, carrying out quality checks on finished components, keeping your workstation organised and safe and working closely with your team to hit daily production targets. You'll be trained on the equipment and processes you need - this is about attitude and reliability first, technical experience second. A typical day might include: Setting up, running and monitoring production equipment Carrying out visual and measured quality checks on components as they're produced Recording production data accurately Keeping your work area clean, tidy and safe (5S standards) Flagging any issues or quality concerns to your shift supervisor Working as part of a close-knit, supportive team Who We're Looking For You don't need to come from a production or manufacturing background to apply - what matters most is the right attitude.
