Salary: £28,000 per annum Hours: Full Time, 48 hours per week Location: Staffordshire The Opportunity We are recruiting for a proactive and organised Production Planner to join a fast-paced production and supply chain environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in production planning, scheduling, logistics or supply chain coordination who is looking to play a key role in ensuring products are delivered on time, resources are effectively managed, and operational targets are achieved.

Working closely with production, warehouse, procurement and transport teams, you will be responsible for coordinating daily operations, optimising workflows and ensuring customer demand is met efficiently.

Key Responsibilities Develop and manage daily and weekly production schedules in line with customer requirements and operational capacity.

Forecast material, labour and equipment requirements to support production activities.

Coordinate the delivery of raw materials, packaging and finished goods.

Liaise with third-party transport providers to manage inbound and outbound logistics.

Monitor production performance and adjust plans to minimise downtime, delays and waste.

Analyse data to predict future production and material requirements.

Identify process improvements and implement initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Maintain accurate production, inventory and capacity information within planning systems.

Produce reports on production performance, KPIs and operational variances.

Work collaboratively with production, quality, commercial and management teams to communicate production status and schedule changes.

Support compliance with food safety, quality, health and safety, and audit requirements.

Provide operational support during peak periods when required.

About You To be successful in this role, you will have: Previous experience in production planning, scheduling, logistics or supply chain coordination.

Strong organisational and time management skills.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Experience using ERP, MRP or similar planning systems.

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across multiple teams.

The ability to work effectively within a fast-paced operational environment.

A flexible and hands-on approach to work.

Desirable Experience within food manufacturing, fresh produce or FMCG environments.

Knowledge of transport planning and coordinating third-party hauliers.
