Production Planning Administrator
Are you a proactive, organised and detail-focused Administrator? Would you like to work within a dynamic aerospace manufacturing environment? This is a key administrative role supporting the Production Planning team, ensuring accurate paperwork, system data and order information flow smoothly through the shop floor and production control processes.
About the Role
Based in the Production Control Office and reporting to the Head of Production Planning, you will provide essential administrative support that keeps manufacturing orders on track. You will handle paperwork launch and amendments, maintain system accuracy, investigate anomalies, and assist with stock-related activities, acting as a vital link between planners, the Drawing Office, shop floor and other departments.
Key Responsibilities
Launch paperwork to accompany orders being processed through the shop floor
Make amendments to manufacturing orders (both waiting to start and already in progress)
Liaise with other departments for guidance on unique amendments
Ensure the latest information is updated on the system and reflected on paperwork
Check completed paperwork for accuracy and completeness prior to archive scanning
Support planners with the execution of the production plan
Work with daily reports to maintain correct and accurate system data
Action drawing and routing amendments as instructed by the Drawing Office
Carry out quantity deviations on started orders when actual output differs from plan
Investigate transaction anomalies and correct them as required
Assist with the annual stock take and support production stores with stock investigations and system corrections
Essentials
Good communication skills
Computer and data literate
Basic mathematics combined with an analytical and logical approach, with the flexibility to adapt working methods
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Proactive, diligent and target-orientated
Desirable
Prior experience within a manufacturing environment
