Proactive Personnel are currently looking for a Production Team Leader to join our client’s Production Department on a temp to perm basis. This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone with previous leadership experience and a good understanding of manufacturing and assembly operations. Responsibilities: * Leading and supervising a production cell and ensuring the team meets daily production targets. * Allocating tasks and responsibilities to production operators. * Training, coaching and supporting team members to improve their skills and performance. * Monitoring attendance, timekeeping, holidays and sickness in line with company procedures. * Dealing with employee concerns and maintaining discipline within the team. * Ensuring production schedules and targets are achieved. * Making sure all required production documentation is completed correctly using the ERP system. * Ensuring raw materials are available and stock levels are maintained within the cell. * Monitoring production processes to ensure quality, efficiency and productivity targets are met. * Reporting machinery breakdowns and equipment issues promptly using Workmate. * Ensuring all quality procedures and specifications are followed. * Carrying out first-off inspections and regular quality checks where required. * Promoting a safe working environment and ensuring employees follow Health & Safety procedures and use the correct PPE. * Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and supporting Lean Manufacturing initiatives. Candidate Requirements: * Previous leadership or supervisory experience, ideally within a manufacturing or assembly environment. * Good understanding of manufacturing and production operations. * Experience with Continuous Improvement / Lean Manufacturing would be advantageous. * Good awareness of Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental procedures. * Knowledge of Syspro ERP or a similar system would be advantageous. * Strong communication, computer and organisational skills. * A proactive, enthusiastic and hands-on approach to work. * Flexible attitude to working hours and changing cells when required. * A strong commitment to maintaining high standards of quality, safety and customer satisfaction. 1 x 4 day Earlies - Mon-Thurs 6am-6pm 48hrs 1 x 3 day Earlies – Fri-Sun 6am-6pm 36hrs 1 x 3 day Lates – Fri-Sun 6pm-6am 36hrs Hourly rate will vary depending on shift pattern.
