Project Cost Management Manager/Director

THE ROLE My client seeks a Chartered Quantity Surveyor / Project Manager who is from recently MRICS qualified to join them in their office in Birmingham area. Projects are generally of high value and there is a particular need currently for people to work on cladding remediation projects for large residential buildings along with other residential, education, healthcare and some commercial projects. You will either be a Quantity Surveyor with an interest in project management or you may be a Project Manager who has a good handle on the cost management side of projects. THE CANDIDATE You will either be an MRICS qualified Quantity Surveyor with an interest in Project Management or a Project Manager with some experience of cost management. You need to have experience of cost control, contract administration, procurement and tendering along with financial reporting throughout the project lifecycle. You must be able to do both pre and post contract work. You need to be able to do contract administration, organise meetings, take minutes etc. You will ideally be keen to do a mix of quantity surveying and project management. My client will offer good prospects for rapid promotion for the right person. Salary is in the region of £45000 to £65000 negotiable plus benefits including pension, life assurance, interest free season ticket loan, healthcare cash plan and more.
