Project Engineer (Mechanical & Engineer) (Permanent)

Mechanical Project Engineer Water Industry Location: Hybrid / Site Based - South East Rate: Circa £450 p/d Ltd or CIS The Role: We're currently recruiting for a Mechanical Project Engineer with experience in the front end of project delivery. You'll play a key part in shaping projects before they reach construction, working closely with operations, design teams and clients to define the most practical, cost-effective engineering solutions across water and wastewater treatment sites. Carrying out mechanical site surveys and asset condition assessments. Developing project scopes and engineering solutions. Defining mechanical equipment replacements and upgrade strategies. Supporting outline and detailed design teams with practical engineering input. Working alongside commercial and delivery teams during pre-construction. Providing technical support throughout construction and commissioning. Liaising with water company clients, operations teams and subcontractors. You'll ideally have experience in: Mechanical Project Engineering within the UK water industry. Scoping or front-end engineering. Water or wastewater treatment works. Site surveys and asset inspections. Mechanical design coordination. Cost estimating and project planning.
