Project Engineering Manager

Senior Project Engineering Manager – Glasgow – Competitive Salary An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Project Engineering Manager to join a growing EMEA team delivering complex energy infrastructure projects. This role focuses on Electrical Grid, Substation, and Battery Energy Storage System developments across Medium and High Voltage networks. You will play a key role in leading multidisciplinary engineering teams, managing project delivery, and interfacing directly with clients to ensure the successful execution of technically demanding projects. Key Responsibilities Lead and coordinate engineering delivery across multiple projects of varying size and complexity Manage project budgets, schedules, and technical outputs Act as the primary technical interface with clients, managing scope changes and project requirements Provide technical leadership and guidance on engineering standards, design practices, and compliance Oversee and mentor a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and technicians Support business development activities, including proposals and client engagement Coordinate effectively with internal and external stakeholders Drive project performance, quality, and timely delivery Skills & Experience Required Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or related discipline) Significant industry experience Proven expertise in substation design and electrical infrastructure projects Strong understanding of: UK Grid Code TSO/DNO requirements UK power utilities landscape Demonstrated experience in project execution and delivery ownership Ability to confidently engage with clients on technical matters Strong knowledge of Medium and High Voltage network design principles Understanding of construction, procurement, and contract management Experience with project controls, estimating, and proposal development Ability to lead and mentor engineering teams Please contact Diane Smedley-Nisbet on (phone number removed) or email me at to be considered for the role
