Role Overview
The Project Controller is responsible for supporting the financial and operational control of projects throughout their lifecycle. Working closely with Project Managers, Finance teams, Engineers, and Subcontractors, the role ensures effective project governance, accurate financial forecasting, timely invoicing, and robust project control processes to maximise project profitability and performance.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Control
- Create, maintain, and update project cost forecasts, ensuring actual and forecast expenditure is accurately tracked against approved budgets.
- Maintain project turnover and revenue forecasts, providing accurate financial information to support business planning.
- Assist with the preparation, management, and monitoring of customer invoices.
- Monitor invoice payments and proactively identify overdue debt, escalating issues to Project Managers and relevant stakeholders for resolution.
- Support financial reporting and provide regular updates on project performance, profitability, and cost variances.
- Track and monitor projects valued above £20,000, identifying and reporting projects that are not achieving expected profit margins.
