Our client is seeking an experienced
Project Manager
with a strong marine civils background to oversee barge-based small works across coastal and inland waterway projects. The role requires hands-on leadership and technical oversight. Role Overview
Manage and oversee barge and pontoon-based small works projects
Lead, support and coordinate foremen, crews and subcontractors
Plan and supervise demolition, piling and concrete repair operations
Organise daily and weekly planning: labour, plant, materials, permits and access
Interface with Site Engineers, clients, marine plant suppliers and specialist subcontractors
Ensure compliance with marine safety standards and project-specific RAMS
Complete project documentation: progress reports, diaries, PTPs, safety checks, lift plans, and QA records
Maintain safe working practices across barges, pontoons and floating plant
Experience Needed
Strong background in marine small works and barge/pontoon operations
Proven experience managing marine civils projects
Hands-on leadership with the ability to step in operationally when required
Solid understanding of lifting operations, marine plant and temporary works
Demonstrable experience producing complex lift plans
Mandatory Certifications
CSCS
SSSTS or SMSTS
Full clean driving licence
Desirable
First Aid

Abrasive Wheels
Marine safety or confined-space qualifications
