An established construction business, part of a larger group operating across multiple sectors, is looking to appoint a young, ambitious and hardworking Project Manager to join their growing construction team.
The business operates as a Design & Build contractor and has a strong reputation for delivering quality construction projects across a range of sectors. The construction arm works across both commercial and residential projects, with a varied workload including fit out, refurb, extensions, cut & carve and internal demolition.
This is an excellent opportunity for an Intermediate Project Manager who is looking to take the next step in their career within an established and growing business. The role offers exposure to a varied range of projects, with the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility and develop alongside an experienced team.
The business has a collaborative and practical approach, giving Project Managers the support and autonomy to manage their projects while working within established systems and processes.
The Role
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and successful delivery of your allocated projects.
Depending on the size and complexity of the workload, you will either manage a larger project from site or oversee multiple smaller projects while working between the office and sites.
Responsibilities will include:
Managing projects from pre-construction through to completion
Taking responsibility for project programmes, costs and delivery
Coordinating subcontractors, consultants, clients and other project stakeholders
Overseeing site activity and ensuring projects are delivered safely and to the required quality standards
Managing project documentation, reporting and commercial information
Maintaining strong relationships with clients and keeping them informed of project progress
Carrying out regular site visits and working closely with site teams
Supporting the procurement and appointment of subcontractors
Ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budgetRequirements
Proven experience as a Project Manager within construction
Experience delivering commercial and/or residential projects
Experience across fit out, refurb, extensions, cut & carve and internal demolition
BSc in Project Management preferred, with HND/NDC considered
CSCS and SMSTS required
