Job Description

North is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of technology, infrastructure, and service-led projects for our customers. Our solutions range from standalone systems to fully integrated environments that improve connectivity, safety, efficiency, and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery

  • Lead projects from initiation through to handover, ensuring successful customer outcomes.
  • Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and plans with customers and stakeholders.
  • Manage project schedules, resources, budgets, risks, and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory, and industry standards.
  • Oversee passive fire protection and fire stopping requirements following penetration works, maintaining fire compartment integrity.

Site & Health & Safety Management

  • Maintain safe, compliant, and productive project sites.
  • Ensure compliance with CDM Regulations 2015 and site-specific health and safety requirements.
  • Manage risk assessments, method statements, site logistics, temporary works, and regular inspections.

Commercial Management

  • Manage project budgets, forecasts, cost control, and cash flow.
  • Lead change control and variation processes.
  • Manage supplier and subcontractor performance to ensure contractual compliance and project success.

Risk & Stakeholder Management

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks while maximising opportunities.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, local authorities, building control, contractors, and key stakeholders.
  • Provide clear project reporting, manage expectations, and resolve issues effectively.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience delivering complex projects within technology, infrastructure, construction, or service-led environments.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, governance, and operational best practice.
  • Knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015, health & safety legislation, and site management.
  • Experience managing budgets, change control, risks, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Understanding of structural considerations, fire compartmentation, and passive fire protection principles.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
  • Proficient with project management tools such as MS Project.
  • PRINCE2, PMP, APM PMQ, SMSTS, or NEBOSH qualifications are desirable.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager or similar role, successfully delivering complex projects across technology, infrastructure, construction, or service-led environments.
  • Strong understanding of project delivery methodologies, governance, and operational best practice.
  • Good technical awareness and the ability to work effectively with subject matter experts, delivery teams, suppliers, and customers.
  • Expertise in CDM Regulations 2015 and a strong commitment to health and safety best practices.
  • Experience in managing temporary works and site logistics, including compound setup and management.
  • Robust commercial acumen with proven experience in cost control, budget management, and variation/change management.
  • Proficient in risk and opportunity management.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build rapport, influence stakeholders, and manage client expectations effectively.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with experience in managing multi-disciplinary project teams and subcontractors.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project)
  • Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP, APM PMQ) are highly desirable.
  • Recognised Health & Safety qualification (e.g., NEBOSH Construction Certificate, SMSTS) is highly desirable.
