Project Quantity Surveyor Desalination Project Suffolk & Essex

We are currently partnering with a multidisciplinary construction and property consultancy with presence across the UK and proven success in a variety of sectors including Rail, Utilities, Energy, Roads, Energy etc. Due to continued growth in their Utilities arm, they are actively seeking an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Suffolk to aid the Commercial Team.
Responsibilities
Commercial Management & Cost Control
Provide project-level quantity surveying support across major water infrastructure schemes, managing costs, budgets, forecasts, and commercial performance throughout the project lifecycle.
NEC Contract Management
Support the administration and delivery of NEC contracts, including managing compensation events, variations, payment applications, and change control processes to ensure effective commercial governance.
Procurement & Supply Chain Management
Assist with procurement activities, tender evaluations, subcontractor engagement, and commercial negotiations, ensuring packages are delivered efficiently and provide value for money.
Cost Reporting & Project Forecasting
Prepare accurate cost reports, financial forecasts, and commercial updates, identifying potential risks, opportunities, and areas requiring mitigation across live projects.
Stakeholder & Project Team Coordination
Collaborate with clients, contractors, designers, and project teams to provide commercial advice and support the successful delivery of complex water infrastructure projects, including desalination and water recycling facilities.
Requirements
Degree qualified or professionally qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial
Strong experience with NEC contracts and commercial management processes. xwzovoh
Previous experience within the water, utilities, infrastructure, or other complex engineering sectors would be highly advantageous.
Must be based within a commutable distance of Suffolk/Essex
