Director - Head of Legal at Simpson Judge ⚖️

Job Title: Residential / Property Solicitor

PQE: NQ–3 Years (or equivalent)

Location: Central Manchester

Practice Area: Residential & Commercial Property

Position Type: Full-Time | Permanent

The Opportunity

A top-tier, highly respected law firm based in central Manchester is looking to recruit a junior but high-calibre Residential Conveyancer or Property Solicitor to join its specialist property team. This role offers something genuinely different from a traditional residential conveyancing position. The team handles a diverse and high-quality workload, acting on residential and commercial plot sales, residential investment transactions, property auctions, and conveyancing for high-net-worth individuals. Matters are not volume-driven, and the emphasis is firmly on quality, complexity, and client service.

This is an excellent opportunity for a junior solicitor or legal executive seeking long-term career development within a sophisticated, commercially focused environment, with clear and genuine partnership prospects for the right individual.

The Role

You will join a specialist property team working closely with experienced partners and senior lawyers, gaining exposure to a broad range of interesting and often complex matters, including:

  • Residential and commercial plot sales
  • Residential and commercial property auctions
  • Conveyancing for high-net-worth individuals
  • A mix of residential and commercial property transactions

The role offers real variety and responsibility, with the opportunity to develop technically while working directly with clients and other professionals.

About You

The firm is keen to speak with candidates who can demonstrate:

  • Qualification as a Solicitor in England & Wales, or Legal Executive (CILEx)
  • Experience in residential conveyancing, or a background in commercial property with an interest in residential work
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
  • A commercial mindset and professional approach to client care
  • Ambition to build a long-term career within a leading property practice

Why Apply?

  • A non-volume, high-quality property role
  • Exposure to complex and interesting property work
  • Clear and structured long-term career progression
  • Genuine partnership prospects for the right candidate
  • Supportive, collaborative team within a top-tier firm
  • Central Manchester location with an excellent reputation
