Job summary

We are currently seeking a Prosthetist who is looking for an opportunity to develop their career at our service based in Roehampton.

Working alongside a large team of clinicians, the role will involve working with a complex clinical case load and will be instrumental in developing and implementing service improvements for the betterment of patients in Roehampton.

Main duties of the job

Ensure the delivery of high-quality care for all patients and the smooth running of the service.

Working closely with MDTs.

Inputting and leading on initiatives within the service development plan.

Conduct comprehensive assessment of patients to determine their orthotic needs.

Develop and implement personalised orthotic treatment plans.

Stay up to date with the latest advancements in orthotic technology and practices.

Provide excellent patient care, education, and support throughout the treatment process.

Assessing, measuring, casting, fitting, suppling, reviewing and adjusting orthoses as required.

Maintaining appropriate clinical notes.

Person specification

Experience

Essential

  • Skills & Experience:
  • A minimum of 3 years work experience.
  • Demonstrated experience of complex casework in adult and paediatric care.
  • Self-starter with a flexible and pro-active approach.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships through effective verbal and written communication.

  • Qualifications:
  • The successful candidate must possess one of the following qualifications:
  • Certified Orthotist
  • HND Orthotics
  • BSc Orthotics
  • And in addition, must have:
  • Full HCPC Registration
  • A valid UK Driving Licence
  • The ability to meet the requirements of an Enhanced Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) Check
