Job Description
As a Manager within the PSA AQ team, you will work with senior members of the team to:
provide risk management and quality support to the PSA teams, as well as other assurance and advisory teams where requiredreview drafts of engagement contracts and other documents to support teams in negotiating the final contract with the client, liaising with other members of the Firm’s audit and quality teams and Legal as appropriatesupport teams in ensuring the engagement letters and risks are managed effectively when using public sector frameworks linking with other teams within the Firmsupport, educate and coach client facing teams and individuals to enhance their risk awareness and to enable them to manage risks appropriatelydevelop and maintain training materials as well as presenting at relevant training sessionsensure required controls are understood and implemented by client-facing teamshelp to identify and manage emerging riskscontribute ideas and support colleagues to ensure that the PSA AQ and client-facing teams function as effectively as possiblework collaboratively with the Firm’s other central support teams, such as Legal and Ethics, to help our client facing teams overcome challenges and to improve our policies and processesdevelop guidance materials and resources including template documentation.support the service line file review and monitoring proceduresKnowing you’re right for us
Joining us as an PSA AQ Senior Manager, the minimum criteria you’ll need is either:
a professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, ICAS) together with experience of working in an assurance or advisory business unit of a professional services firm; ora legal/risk management background with experience of advising on contracts and developing policies; or a role within public sector procurement leading on contract managementIt would be great if you had some of the following skills, but don’t worry if you don’t tick every box, we’ll help you develop along the way.
project management experienceexperience of working in or advising teams involved in professional services delivery.experience of drafting and/or reviewing contractual terms.have a positive, proactive attitude and be someone who takes pride in delivering a high-quality outputbe commercially aware and recognise the need to balance risk with rewardgood attention to detail, whilst retaining an ability to see the bigger picture, so that you are able to find innovative solutions to novel situationsan awareness of the ethical principles that apply to professional services firms, especially those that apply to audit firmsan ability to communicate effectively with a flexible and agile approachan interest in how we can develop digital solutions to help us do things to improve the way we workbe a resilient individual who enjoys being part of a diverse teamKnowing we’re right for you
