Purchasing Officer

Jackson Hogg Procurement division are partnering with a growing organisation in Hartlepool on the appointment of a Purchasing Officer to join their team. This is a full-time and permanent role where you would be the stand-alone Buyer for the business, but with training and support from the Sales & Purchasing Manager. This is a business that has experienced good growth over the last 10 years, and they have over doubled in size during this time. This role is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring raw materials, chemicals, equipment, and services to support operations. You will play a key role in ensuring cost efficiency, maintaining supplier performance, and supporting uninterrupted production while adhering to quality, safety, and environmental standards. This is an on-site role, working 40 hours per week with hours of Monday to Friday 08.00-16.30 but flexibility could be offered if other hours are preferred.
