Role Summary Resicare is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Quality Assurance Apprentice to support the organisation’s quality, governance and compliance functions across both children’s and adults services. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to begin a career in quality assurance, compliance, safeguarding and service improvement within social care. The successful candidate will gain practical experience across both Ofsted-regulated children’s homes and CQC-regulated adult residential services whilst completing a structured apprenticeship programme. Working alongside the Quality Assurance team, the apprentice will support audits, compliance monitoring, governance systems, inspection readiness activity and continuous improvement initiatives. The role will provide exposure to regulatory frameworks, safeguarding processes, quality monitoring systems and operational governance within a multi-service care organisation. The successful candidate will receive structured supervision, mentoring and development opportunities designed to build competency and create a clear pathway into future quality assurance and governance roles. Key Responsibilities * Support routine quality assurance audits across children’s and adults services. * Assist with reviewing care records, risk assessments, incidents, safeguarding documentation, staff files, medication records and training compliance. * Help maintain audit trackers, governance systems, action plans and compliance records. * Support services with inspection readiness activity and organisation of evidence relating to Ofsted and CQC expectations. * Assist in preparing audit summaries, reports and quality assurance documentation under supervision. * Attend governance meetings, quality reviews and service improvement discussions where appropriate. * Support introductory training sessions, workshops and compliance briefings for staff. * Learn how to identify themes, trends and areas of risk across services. * Work collaboratively with managers and staff to support improvements in documentation, governance and compliance practices. * Develop knowledge of safeguarding, regulatory frameworks, quality assurance systems and organisational governance processes. * Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally at all times. * Participate in ongoing apprenticeship learning, supervision and professional development activities. Travel Expectations This is a multi-site developmental role requiring travel between children’s homes, adult residential services and occasional central office locations. Expected travel includes: * Supervised visits to services across the organisation * Attendance at training sessions, meetings and shadowing opportunities * Travel alongside senior QA staff during the initial development period * Travel expectations will increase gradually as competency and confidence develop. Business mileage and approved travel expenses will be reimbursed in line with organisational policy. Development and Progression The successful candidate will complete a relevant apprenticeship qualification alongside practical experience within the Quality Assurance team.
