Type: Temp to Perm About the Role We are currently recruiting for a Quality Control Operative to support the Technical Team at a new, modern seed, pea and bean processing facility in Bourne. This role is ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail, strong organisational skills and an interest in pulses, seeds and agriculture. You will be responsible for carrying out technical sampling and pulse analysis, maintaining accurate records and helping to ensure products consistently meet customer specifications and quality standards. Key Responsibilities
Complete product testing across buyback, intake, production, open market and container samples in line with laboratory procedures.
Record test results accurately using Excel and QMS and provide feedback to the Technical and Operations Teams.
Support production and technical requirements, ensuring specifications are met before container dispatch.
Identify, report and investigate quality issues when required.
Prepare sample approvals for customer pre-approval and external testing.
Carry out third-party store sampling, regular store checks and sample collection.
Complete internal quality checks on laboratory equipment.
Assist with investigations relating to complaints and concessions.
Maintain a clean, organised laboratory environment.
Rotate samples and dispose of samples once they have passed their shelf life.
Work in accordance with BRC and TASCC standards.
Assist with ad-hoc technical and quality requirements.
About You We're looking for someone who is: Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
Confident working with data and recording information accurately
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Able to work independently and proactively
A good problem solver with a positive attitude
A strong communicator and team player
Confident using IT, including Excel
Comfortable with some travel and manual/heavy lifting
Able to manage time effectively and meet deadlines Health & Safety You will be expected to follow company health & safety, technical and environmental policies and ensure visitors also comply with site requirements. Why Join?
