£47000 salary We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join a leading Birmingham based manufacturer. The company work across a number of sectors including automotive, defence and aerospace to design and manufacture components at high levels. A quality engineer (QE)
ensures products and processes meet stringent safety, regulatory, and design standards . They design testing procedures, perform root-cause analysis on defects, and implement continuous improvement frameworks like Six Sigma to prevent issues from recurring. Quality Control & Testing:
Designing and developing test cases, automation scripts, and physical inspections to validate product durability, reliability, and functionality. Defect Tracking:
Investigating exactly why a product or process failed and utilising statistical analysis to identify trends and patterns . System Auditing:
Auditing manufacturing or software development systems to ensure they comply with industry regulations and standards, such as ISO 9001. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Acting as a link between design, procurement, and production teams to "build in" quality from early development through to final delivery. Documentation & Reporting:
Maintaining traceability, defect logs, and quality metrics required for certifications and legal compliance
Benefits of Quality Engineer: - £47000 basic + DOE

- 39 hours per week - 0700 starts

- Have relevant qualification - apprenticeship, relevant degree, NVQ etc
- Have knowledge of all inspection methods - hand tools, robotic measuring
- Assurance and reporting experience
- Knowledge of industry standards - ISO 9001 / AS9102 / IATF6949
- Continuous improvement and 8D management
- Maintaining accurate reports and documents
- Liaising with internal management and other departments
