We are looking for an experienced
Quality Engineer
to join a Quality Assurance team within a busy industrial manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on Quality Engineer role supporting
Production, Engineering and Manufacturing teams
to maintain and continuously improve product quality, reliability and compliance. You will play a key role in ensuring components, sub-assemblies and finished products meet the required standards, while helping to prevent quality issues from progressing through the manufacturing process or reaching the customer.
Key Responsibilities as a Quality Engineer Support Production and Engineering teams with quality-related issues, investigations and improvement activities. Lead and support root cause investigations and corrective actions using tools such as 8D, Ishikawa, FMEA and Control Plans. Create, execute, review and report on product and process qualification testing. Monitor incoming and outgoing quality and identify opportunities for improvement. Raise and manage quality notifications/alerts when non-conformances are identified. Participate in the Material Review Board (MRB) process. Support fault finding and investigation of customer returns, working closely with Production, Engineering and R&D. Review and approve small process deviations and product concessions, ensuring these are appropriately documented. Review verification and validation activities for existing and new processes. Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve product quality and manufacturing processes. About You as a Quality Engineer A degree in
Electrical or Mechanical Engineering , or equivalent relevant experience. Experience within
aerospace, automotive or another highly regulated manufacturing environment
would be advantageous. Practical engineering knowledge and a strong understanding of manufacturing processes. Experience using quality tools such as
8D, FMEA, Control Plans and Ishikawa/root cause analysis . Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with
Production, Engineering, Sales, customers and suppliers . A proactive approach, with the confidence to identify issues, investigate root causes and drive improvements through to completion.
