QUALITY ENGINEER – AFTERNOON SHIFT * Birmingham * £42,000 - £45,000 * PERMANENT * Clean working environment * Full order books, super stability * Recent investment * Friendly, committed team Quality Engineer – Make Quality Your Own Are you an experienced Quality Engineer who enjoys solving problems, improving processes and making a genuine impact on quality performance? We’re looking for a motivated and technically strong Quality Engineer to join an established manufacturing business on a permanent afternoon shift. This is a hands-on role where you’ll work closely with the Quality Manager and wider production teams, helping to drive quality standards, support new product introduction and deliver sustainable improvements across the business. If you’re someone who doesn't just identify quality issues but wants to understand why they happen and make sure they don't happen again, this could be an excellent opportunity. Commutable from Birmingham, Walsall, Wolverhampton, Sutton Coldfield, Minworth, Wombourne, Brierly Hill, Rowley Regis, Dudley, Harbourne, Bloxwich and Aldridge Duties * Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities * Drive continuous improvement across Quality processes and systems * Investigate quality issues and implement robust, sustainable corrective actions * Monitor and measure process and product performance * Conduct process and system audits and manage non-conformances * Support Metrology activities * Conduct daily product audits, including material testing and X-ray inspection * Own and maintain Control Plans and associated Work Instructions * Support and manage customer SQA representatives during site visits * Working dedicated Afternoon shift Requirements * Strong Quality Engineering experience * Must have gained knowledge from within a manufacturing / engineering environment * Knowledge and understanding of TS16949 / IATF 16949 * Good understanding of Metrology * Strong practical experience with Quality tools, such as 8D, APQP, PPAP’s, PFMEA, SPC and Control Plans * The confidence to coach, influence and challenge others * Happy to work afternoon shift * Full clean driving licence Ready for Your Next Quality Challenge?
