We are currently recruiting for a Quality Engineer to join an industry leading manufacturer in Port Talbot. This is a great opportunity to be an important part of a number of new, exciting engineering projects for an employer of choice in the area, ensuring that the manufactured products for a number of key clients and the processes behind it meet the customer, regulatory and company quality requirements.

Working in a small but knowledgeable team as Quality Engineer you will:

  • Use your manufacturing quality experience to ensure compliance with the required quality standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements
  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality plans, inspection plans, and control plans for new and existing products.
  • Draw on your analytical and investigative skills when conducting root cause analysis using structured problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone, DMAIC)
  • Showcase your confidence and knowledge when leading meetings into internal non-conformances, customer complaints, and supplier quality issues.
  • Review engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing processes to ensure quality requirements are clearly defined and achievable.
  • Participate in design reviews, process validation, and production readiness activities.
  • Use your organisational skills and eye for detail when reviewing key quality metrics and analysing data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Perform process capability studies and statistical analysis
  • Promote continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
