Doddington Road, Lincoln (LN6 3RA) , supporting manufacturing operations through
first-off and in-process inspection
activities. Youll help ensure components meet engineering requirements and support production and quality objectives in a fast-paced environment. As the Quality Inspector, your responsibilities will include:
Carrying out
first-off inspections
to validate set-ups and confirm products meet specification prior to release
Performing
in-process inspections
and ongoing monitoring of production output
Interpreting and inspecting to
engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T
requirements
Using a range of
manual measuring equipment
(e.g., micrometers, verniers, gauges) and inspection techniques
Identifying, recording, and reporting
non-conformances
in line with quality procedures
Supporting
containment, investigation, and resolution
of shop-floor quality issues
Working closely with
Production, Engineering, and Quality
teams to support corrective actions and prevent recurrence
Completing inspection records, reports and documentation accurately
Ensuring all activities comply with
Health, Safety and Environmental
standards
As the Quality Inspector you will bring:
Minimum 5 years experience
in a quality inspection role within a manufacturing environment
Strong experience in
first-off and in-process inspection
Proven ability to read and interpret
engineering drawings and GD&T
Confident use of
manual measuring equipment
(micrometers, verniers, gauges etc.)
Excellent attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset
Ability to work effectively within a production team environment, with good communication skills
Desirable (but not essential):
Time-served background in engineering/manufacturing
Experience in
high-volume
or
precision manufacturing
Familiarity with quality systems, inspection documentation and traceability
Exposure to root cause analysis / quality problem-solving
Shift Pattern / Hours (A/B Shift)
Overtime available when required: A Shift:
MonThu 6:00am1:35pm | Fri 6:00am12:45pm
B Shift:
MonThu 1:25pm9:05pm | Fri 12:35pm7:00pm ( 20% premium Friday ) (Additional site shift patterns may also operate.)
