An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Inspector to join a growing engineering manufacturing business. Working as part of the Quality team, you will play a key role in ensuring products meet both internal and customer quality standards throughout the manufacturing process. This position would suit an experienced inspector with a strong engineering background and excellent attention to detail. Key Responsibilities
Quality Inspection
Conduct first-off and 100% inspections throughout the manufacturing process Inspect and assess components at various production stages Produce and communicate inspection reports Goods Inwards Inspection
Inspect incoming materials to ensure compliance with specifications Support sample approvals, First Article Inspection (FAI), and New Product Introduction (NPI) activities Calibration
Organise and carry out calibration of measuring equipment and tooling Ensure calibration schedules are maintained and adhered to Quality Support
Support Quality Engineers with dimensional inspections and non-conformance investigations Assist in the operation of the Non-Conformance Report (NCR) process Support engineering change activities and quality improvement initiatives Compliance & Continuous Improvement
Ensure adherence to the Quality Management System (QMS) Maintain accurate quality records and reporting Promote high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping What We're Looking For
Essential Skills
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings Experience using inspection and measurement equipment including verniers, micrometers, and gauges Understanding of weld symbols and weld inspection Strong communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Desirable Skills & Experience
Calibration of measuring equipment and tooling (e.g. torque wrenches, pressure gauges) Experience using CMM equipment (e.g. Faro) Engineering, automotive, or manufacturing inspection experience Experience with Goods-In inspection, FAI, production inspection, and non-conformance investigations IT skills including Microsoft Office and SAP Engineering, Quality, or Science qualification Apply Now
