CDS Labour is currently recruiting for an experienced Quality Inspector
to join an established aerospace precision engineering company based in
Harlow . This is a
permanent opportunity
for someone with experience in mechanical or precision inspection who is confident working with engineering drawings, tolerances and a range of measuring equipment. The Role
You will join an established inspection department, carrying out
first-off, in-process and final inspection
of precision CNC-machined components. You will be responsible for ensuring components meet the required quality standards and specifications. Key Responsibilities
Carry out first-off, in-process and final inspection of CNC-machined components Read and interpret engineering drawings, tolerances and specifications Use manual inspection equipment including
micrometres, verniers and gauges Operate inspection equipment including
CMMs Complete and maintain
FAIR documentation and quality records Support
PPAP requirements
where required Work in line with
AS9100 procedures
and maintain high quality standards Identify and report any quality issues or non-conformances Essential Skills & Experience
Previous experience in
mechanical or precision inspection
within a manufacturing environment Confident reading engineering drawings and working to tight tolerances Competent using manual measuring equipment such as micrometres and gauges Basic measurement calculations and trigonometry Excellent attention to detail Strong quality-focused approach Desirable
Experience with
CMM programming/operation , particularly Aberlink Knowledge of QMS systems and aerospace quality standards such as
AS9100 Experience completing FAIRs and/or supporting PPAP Working Hours & Salary
Permanent position 39 hours per week MondayThursday:
7:00am4:00pm Friday:
7:00am12:00pm Some evening and weekend overtime may be available Salary up to £30,000 per year , depending on experience Why Apply?
